Chromebook Language Setting

Log out

Click on the o'clock done the bottom on the right then sign out

To Add Mandarin as a Language
Turn on the Chromebook

Log in
Click on your user icon in the lower right-hand corner
Click on settings (the gear icon)
Click on  Advance
Click on Change Language and Input Settings
Click on Language
Click on Add Language
Select Chinese Simplified+ Traditional
Click Add

To Activate the Mandarin Keyboard

(from inside Settings - Language & Input Settings)

Scroll down to Input Method( Chinese)+ traditional pinyin input method
Click Manage Input Methods
Select Pinyin input method
Close the window
When you are ready to type in Chinese, click on your user icon in the lower right-hand corner and click where it says US International Keyboard to change the keyboard settings.
Select Pinyin Input Method
Click outside of the window to close it
